Oremus Mandolás Furmint Tempos Vega Sicilia 2023

Oremus – a match made in heaven: Spain's iconic Vega Sicilia winery has been involved with this estate, founded in 1993, in the legendary Hungarian wine-growing region of Tokaj. There, they not only produce classic Tokaji wines, but are also taking steps towards modern winemaking with their dry wines. Take the Mandolás, for instance, named after its origin in a plot planted entirely with Furmint. It is fermented in new oak and matured in the region's typical small 136-litre barrels. Mandolás is a dense, very harmonious Furmint, lively and fresh, with a deeply mineral backbone. A fine accompaniment to fish and white meat, yet with enough character and individuality to impress even on its own.
