Oremus Tokaji Aszu 3 Puttonyos Tempos Vega Sicilia 2022

Whilst the Mandolás from the same estate represents the exploration of new horizons, the Oremus Aszú 3 Puttonyos is a prime example of the approximately 400-year-old tradition of sweet Tokaj wines. In the Aszú process, noble rot-affected, raisin-like grapes are macerated in a base wine and the must is then gently pressed. The subsequent fermentation in new oak lasts up to four weeks, followed by a maturation period of around two years in 136- and 200-litre Hungarian oak barrels and a further year of bottle ageing. Furmint, Hárslevelu, Zéta and Sárgamuskotály form the cuvée for this Tokaj, which delights with its delicate fruity sweetness, a lush bouquet of fruit (apricot, peach, pear) and notes of honey and orange zest.
