Domaine Ramonet has a special connection with the 1er Cru Les Ruchottes. This is because, in 1934, this wine was the first estate-bottled white Burgundy to be imported into the USA by the American wine legend Frank M. Schoonmaker. This has forged a very close bond between the family and the vineyard to this day. Les Ruchottes lies above Morgeot; it is stony, with limestone-rich soil. The 2022 "Les Ruchottes' also demonstrates the class of this climat. Despite its richness, the wine retains its freshness, presenting itself as elegant, balanced and highly precise: the bouquet is Burgundian in its complexity (citrus, apple, pear, hazelnut, brioche, flint), whilst the palate offers power and richness, balanced acidity and chalky minerality. Chassagne-Montrachet at its very best.

Domaine Ramonet

Domaine Ramonet can certainly be counted among the legends of Burgundy. This has a lot to do with Pierre Ramonet, who built up the winery from the 1920s onwards, because what Henri Jayer was to red Burgundy, Pierre Ramonet was to white. Noël Ramonet and his brother Jean-Claude are continuing this tradition.
