Domaine Ramonet Bienvenues Batard Montrachet Grand Cru 2017

The wines from Bienvenues-Bâtard-Montrachet are characterised by the utmost elegance and enormous ageing potential. Light brown limestone with a touch of clay defines the soil of this Grand Cru. The wines grown here are a touch more delicate when compared directly with the neighbouring Bâtard-Montrachet. The year 2017 was sunny – yet by no means as extreme as the following years, particularly 2018, 2019 and 2022. This resulted in ripe and well-balanced wines with plenty of fruit and sufficient acidity to ensure harmony and balance. The 2017 displays notes of peach, apple and citrus, along with hints of hazelnut and a touch of creamy pastry, followed by a long, mineral finish. The texture is silky, with fine-grained, elegant tannins from barrel ageing. Ramonet precision and excellence at their finest!
