Domaine Faiveley Puligny-Montrachet 2024
In the end, it was the dry and warm spell just before harvest that brought the exceptionally rainy year of 2024 to a conclusion that delighted winemakers. This allowed for the production of highly elegant wines?not overly heavy, yet full of finesse?provided, of course, that careful selection was made during the harvest. One example: Faively's Village from Puligny-Montrachet. It reflects the typical Puligny limestone terroir just as perfectly as it captures the character of this vintage: a medium-bodied wine enveloped by white fruits and flowers, with the unmistakable vanilla from oak aging and the nutty note typical of Chardonnay?in this case, primarily hazelnut. All of this combines with the creamy texture typical of Puligny, salty minerality, and fresh acidity to form a remarkably harmonious whole.
