Winery Wittmann Chardonnay Reserve 2024

For most wine lovers, Wittmann is synonymous with top-quality Riesling from the finest Westhofen vineyards. The fact that other grape varieties also grow in some of the prime plots of these vineyards is often overlooked. Take, for example, the Chardonnay used for this Reserve. Tended in the vineyard with the same care as the legendary Riesling Grand Crus, fermented largely in traditional wooden barrels, this Chardonnay matures for at least 15 months on the lees in half-barrels or barriques. The result is a robust, straw-yellow premium white wine, with a nose of orange, rosehip, herbal tea and exotic fruit (kiwi).
