Winery Erwin Sabathi Jägerberg Weißburgunder 2024
The Jägerberg Pinot Blanc 2024 comes from a vineyard located at an elevation of 320 to 380 meters in the municipality of Gamlitz. Aged for 14 months in large oak barrels, this wine from Erwin Sabathi combines the elegant style of the grape variety with the crisp precision of Southern Styria. The nose reveals notes of mountain meadows, yellow apple, pear, a hint of hazelnut, and delicate herbal spice, accompanied by subtle floral notes. On the palate, the Pinot Blanc is juicy yet firm, with a creamy texture, precise acidity, and a salty finish. Unlike many softer Pinot Blanc styles, this wine remains clear and focused. An elegant, finely structured Pinot Blanc with Burgundian character, plenty of substance, and 94 Falstaff points.
