The "Vigne Alte" Lugana 2025 comes from the region south of Lake Garda, where the Trebbiano di Lugana or Turbiana grape variety perhaps finds its most exciting expression. The influence of the lake ensures a remarkable balance between ripeness and freshness, even in warm years. In the “Vigne Alte”, Zeni presents a somewhat more ambitious style of Lugana: denser, more structured and more complex than many of the appellation’s simpler examples. Ripe citrus, white peach, herbs, a hint of fennel and the typical slightly salty minerality combine with a creamy texture. At the same time, the wine remains lively and precise. It is precisely this combination of substance and freshness that has made Lugana one of Italy’s most sought-after white wine regions.
