Champagne Pommery Grand Apanage 1874 Brut

Grande Apanage is the name given by Pommery to the non-vintage premium cuvées released to mark its 150th anniversary. It is composed of a careful selection of the finest vintage reserves. In the case of the Brut, the wines come from the 2018 vintage, supplemented by the 2015 and 2012 vintages as well as a small amount of Réserve perpétuelle. A total of 17 different cru vineyards (mostly Grand Crus) contributed to this blend, which then aged in the bottle for approximately 48 months. The nose of the anniversary cuvée offers aromas of white flowers (jasmine, hawthorn), accompanied by citrus notes, toasted aromas, marshmallow, and brioche. On the palate, there are hints of nectarine sautéed in butter, balanced by intense mineral freshness.
