Champagne Pommery Grand Apanage 1874 Rosé

The Rosé is the newest addition to the Grande Apanage 1874 family from the House of Pommery. Vintage reserves from 2017, 2018, and 2019 form the foundation of the cuvée, while approximately 15% of the Réserve perpétuelle adds additional body and depth. The blend consists of 65% Pinot Noir and 35% Chardonnay; a 6.5% proportion of red wine from Grand Cru vineyards in Bouzy and Verzenay gives the blend an elegant salmon-pink hue with bright, light-red highlights. The nose is dominated by abundant red berry fruit and a hint of pink grapefruit. Floral notes (roses, peonies) lend a dancing elegance. On the palate, a creamy texture with Pinot's juiciness and power, raspberry and cassis fruit, as well as a hint of vanilla. A champagne perfectly suited for fine fish from the charcoal grill.
