The 2014 "Unico? is a blend of 94% Tempranillo and 6% Cabernet Sauvignon. This year, the legendary wine from Ribera del Duero shows its more elegant side. This in no way detracts from its exceptional quality. Concentration and power are still more than evident, but with finesse rather than brute force. James Suckling describes this 2014 vintage as refined and delicate, noting a complex bouquet of peppercorns, smoked paprika, and spiced dark fruits, along with orange zest, floral notes, and an impressive finish. The Wine Advocate describes this 2014 vintage as very classic and concludes that it is one of the best vintages of recent years. We certainly won't argue with that.
