Winery Dr. Bürklin-Wolf Pechstein G. C. 2025
The Forster Pechstein 2025 currently presents itself as subdued and strongly mineral-driven. The nose is stony, dark, and cool?almost like a Zellertaler from the Haardt region?with hints of kumquat, citrus zest, and, increasingly, notes of yellow fruit. On the palate, the wine is linear, slender, and firmly structured, with dark minerality, a salty edge, and significantly more stone than fruit. A hint of licorice and a subtle biscuit note add depth. Still very young and closed, but with clear definition, great tension, and plenty of potential for bottle aging.
