The 2025 "Riesling dry? demonstrates once again the high standards Dr. Bürklin-Wolf sets even for his estate wines. The grapes come from the estate's own plots in Wachenheim, Deidesheim, and Ruppertsberg, as well as from younger vines in renowned Premier Cru and Grand Cru vineyards such as Gaisböhl and Gerümpel. Cultivated biodynamically, hand-harvested, and fermented naturally, the wine matures approximately 40% in double-piece barrels and 60% in stainless steel. It is spicy and slightly smoky, with notes of flint, apple and grapefruit peel, lemon, and stone fruit. On the palate, juicy Palatinate fruit meets a taut, dry style. Fine extract and crisp acidity provide drive, while the oak adds depth. Precise and spicy on the finish?a estate Riesling with substance and a close connection to the local wines.
