Penfolds Bin 389 Special Release 3x1
No house shapes Australian red wine like Penfolds, and Bin 389 has carried the nickname Baby Grange since 1960. Max Schubert built it on cabernet structure and generous shiraz flesh, matured in the American hogsheads that held the previous Grange. We pack three vintages into the original three-bottle Penfolds wooden case: 2020, 2021 and the freshly released 2024 from the Collection 2026. All three spent about a year in American oak, the 2020 as Cabernet Sauvignon (51%), Shiraz (49%), the younger pair at 53 to 47. Expect dark forest fruit, vanilla and cedar, liquorice and violets behind them, a velvet core and fine-grained tannin that carries long. A small vertical to taste side by side, drinking now through 2045. Limited, while stocks last. Instead of 245,00 Euro now only
