Red wine

Red wine is usually vinified dry. To be enjoyed young, it is matured in stainless steel and offers plenty of fruit. Red wines that need to mature and become complex usually come from large wooden barrels, amphorae, tonneaux or barriques. Rudolf Fürst Winery

At home in Bürgstatt am Main, in the westernmost corner of Franconia, the winery looks back on a tradition of almost 400 years. in 1997, Paul and Monika Fürst took over the business, renovated parcels and acquired more. Since 2018, the management has been in the hands of their son Sebastian and his wife Isabell. Today, the vineyard covers 21 ha and is 60% planted with Pinot Noir. In addition, there is Frühburgunder, Chardonnay, Weißburgunder and Riesling.

Château Lafite-Rothschild

There are supposed to be people who have no interest whatsoever in wine. And even they "of course" know the name "Lafite-Rothschild" and know that it is one of the most famous wineries of all. Some may also have picked up that a bottle from the estate of Thomas Jefferson fetched a price of 160,000 dollars at an auction in 1985.

Château Haut-Brion
