Buy wines from Château Beauséjour Duffau-Lagarrosse
Château Beauséjour Duffau-Lagarrosse has been classified as Premier Grand Cru Classé B in the Saint-Émillion appellation since 1969. Wine has been grown on this site since the Middle Ages. The château itself has passed through several hands and has been divided.
Today it comprises around 7 hectares of vineyards, which is not a lot, but is typical for the region. In the recent past, advice was sought from star oenologists Michel Rolland and Stéphane Derenoncourt to take the vineyard to a new level.
The vineyard stretches across the Saint-Émilion plateau, with a mixture of limestone and clay. The vines are on average 35 years old. They are planted predominantly with Merlot, followed by Cabernet Franc and then Cabernet Sauvignon.
