Château Cantenac Brown Winery

"A friendly, approachable and proud clan."

The landmark of Cantenac Brown is its spectacular Tudor-style château, which bears witness to the Scottish roots of its founder John Lewis Brown and makes it one of the most remarkable wine estates in the Médoc. It is surrounded by an impressive expanse of parkland, an oasis of unspoilt nature where Scottish sheep reign supreme.

The 60 hectares of vineyards surrounding the château are spread across the prestigious Margaux and Cantenac plateaus, making them some of the best sites in the Margaux appellation.

Tristan Le Lous, an agronomist with a passion for oenology who has owned Château Cantenac Brown with his family since December 2019, runs the estate together with winemaker José Sanfins.

Both share the same vision of respect for nature, the value of working the land and the search for an ideal balance between nature and viticulture to produce wines that are connected to the land.
