Stephan Graf Neipperg repeatedly emphasises the great pleasure he takes in Château d'Aiguilhe. The vineyard from the Côtes de Castillion also proves its class time and again in the off vintages and demonstrates the great skill of its owner. In the 2019 vintage, the limestone soils produced a serious competitor to far more expensive wines from its famous neighbour St.-Émilion. 18 out of 20 Weinwisser points is a strong rating for a wine wine in this price range!

In the 1970s, the von Neipperg family began acquiring properties in Bordeaux, including Château d'Aiguilhe in the Castillon - Côtes de Bordeaux appellation. The château is originally a 13th century fortification. Ruins bear witness to its long history.
