Château Montrose 2ème GCC St. Estèphe 2022

Bordeaux, France, Red wine, wine cuvée
0.75 l, Item no. 11118

Since the restructuring of the cuvée of the first wine, Château Montrose has actually become a "Premier Cru.? By using the best plots near the Gironde, it has reached a level that is second to none! Compared to the 2020 (also 100 WA), the 2022 is slightly more powerful and perhaps a touch more complex. But as with recent vintages, everything is on a highly elegant, refined level, and the rusticity of previous years is gone. A majestic wine that is hard to beat!

Château Montrose

In the Saint-Estèphe appellation, on the banks of the Gironde, lies the Deuxième-Grand-Cru-Classé-Château Montrose. Wine was only cultivated here comparatively late, since 1815. Almost 200 years later, the entrepreneurs Martin and Olivier Bouygues acquired the vineyard and invested with the aim of preserving the historic Bordeaux heritage.
