The cuvée, comprising 77% Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc, comes exclusively from the historic plots of the famous Terrasse IV in front of the château. The bouquet unfolds with notes of blackcurrant, blackberries and dark plums, accompanied by graphite, violets, black truffle, cedar wood and a subtle hint of smouldering charcoal. On the palate, Montrose is dense and concentrated, yet precise and balanced.
