Château Phélan Ségur St. Estèphe 2022

This château, located high up in the Médoc, is a prime example of the changes that have taken place in wine making at Bordeaux's most important estates in recent years. Phélan Ségur used to be somewhat austere and burdened with harsh tannins. The 2022 vintage (like the last few vintages) paints a completely different picture. Elegant dark berry fruit and enchanting floral notes combine with silky tannins and supportive ripe acidity to create a harmonious whole. A sensual pleasure!
