You should always be careful with second wines from Bordeaux in a classic and somewhat finer vintage like 2021. With La Dame de Montrose, however, there is no need to worry. The wine shows its great class especially in such vintages. The careful selection of the grapes and the different terroir to the first wine ensure a close relationship to the Grand Vin, but also great independence and class. The 2021 is juicy, harmonious and elegant with a pronounced aroma of dark berries and a beautiful floral note.

In the Saint-Estèphe appellation, on the banks of the Gironde, lies the Deuxième-Grand-Cru-Classé-Château Montrose. Wine was only cultivated here comparatively late, since 1815. Almost 200 years later, the entrepreneurs Martin and Olivier Bouygues acquired the vineyard and invested with the aim of preserving the historic Bordeaux heritage.
