2020 Montrose is monumental in every respect! It shows great concentration, a lot of pressure and impressive minerality. The Vin de Garde will develop into a great classic. As always, you need a lot of patience with Montrose, but in the end you will be rewarded with a great wine. More reminiscent of 2010 than 2009. 100 Parker points here! A wonderful special edition. And to match, one of the best wines from St. Julien, the 2020 vintage. Leoville Poyferré's hedonistic approach is particularly evident in this elegant vintage.

In the Saint-Estèphe appellation, on the banks of the Gironde, lies the Deuxième-Grand-Cru-Classé-Château Montrose. Wine was only cultivated here comparatively late, since 1815. Almost 200 years later, the entrepreneurs Martin and Olivier Bouygues acquired the vineyard and invested with the aim of preserving the historic Bordeaux heritage.
