Domaine de Chevalier
The Domaine de Chevalier is basically a clearing in the middle of a forest. There were already vineyards here in the 17th century.
This vineyard is one of the few châteaux in Pessac-Léognan to be classified as a "Grand Cru Classé" for both white and red wines. One of the best white wines ever is produced here! The red wine has caught up in recent years due to enormous investments and is now on a par with the best of this appellation. This is a Bordeaux wine that, unlike some others, has a more Burgundian approach. Wonderfully elegant notes of red fruits, fine ripe tannins, balance and a silky finish ennoble this sensual wine.
