The Alión winery of Vega Sicilia is in constant evolution, with quality being steadily increased. In 2018, the grape reception area and fermentation cellar were modernized, with smaller tanks and concrete introduced for part of the aging process. In 2019, separate tanks were added for the press wine. The 2019 vintage of "Alion? shows itself as powerful, concentrated, and structured, with dense aromas of plums, cherries, and blackberries, violets, cocoa, and balsamic notes. On the palate, the wine appears ripe and juicy, with fine tannins and a fleshy fruit character.
