Petrolo Galatrona Toscana Rosso magnum 2016

The Petrolo winery, located in the south of Chianti, describes "Galatrona? as its "Grand Cru?. A single-varietal Merlot based on specially selected Bordeaux clones, of which only 30,000 bottles are bottled each year. The estate has been certified organic since 2016, and the aim of the vineyard work is to achieve the greatest possible balance and harmony. The 2016 vintage presents itself with haunting blackberry fruit and notes of cassis and blueberry. A distinctive tobacco spice and a silky tannin structure complete the aroma spectrum. Despite its density and concentration, the Galatrona is still highly elegant and balanced. It is now at the beginning of its drinking maturity, but also has the potential for further ageing.
