Winery Knewitz Weth & Welz 2023

Weth and Welz refer to the two streams that shape the microclimate around Appenheim – as do the vineyards such as Goldberg, Honigberg and Eselspfad, from which the grapes are sourced. The Pinot Blanc (around 70%) and the Chardonnay used were fermented spontaneously in used tonneaux and barriques and aged on the lees. The result: a wine offering unbeatable value for money, with aromas of ripe citrus fruits, fresh popcorn, blossoms, almond pastries, white tea and a hint of smoke. Creamy on the palate with a crisp acidity. A perfect all-rounder at the dinner table!
