Winery Angelo Gaja Rossj-Bass Langhe DOC 2024
Chardonnay with a tiny dash of Sauvignon Blanc – that's Angelo Gaja's Rossj-Bass. It is not a classic terroir wine; the grapes come from a total of four different Piedmontese vineyards. It is fermented 80 per cent in stainless steel and 20 per cent in barriques, and is then aged for six months in oak. The result is a highly elegant and balanced white Langhe, which, thanks to the breadth of its origins, is incredibly complex and delights at every moment with its freshness and charm. The nose reveals a colourful bouquet of flowers, accompanied by citrus and reductive notes, whilst the palate offers stone fruit and tropical fruits. Full-bodied richness and a velvety texture are complemented by precisely defined minerality.
