"Imagine a version of Corton-Charlemagne from a cooler climate, and you won't be far off,? says James Suckling. The 2021 Pössnitzberger Kapelle I from Weingut Erwin Sabathi displays tremendous class. The wine combines density and concentration with a vibrant freshness that makes it seem exceptionally precise. On the palate, the Chardonnay is taut and profound, with a tightly woven structure, salty tension, and a long, cool finish. A great Chardonnay with aristocratic elegance and tremendous finesse.
