Weingut Wieninger Wiener Gemischter Satz DAC Bisamberg 2024

This Gemischter Satz comes from a vineyard on the Bisamberg that is around 40 years old and planted with 40 per cent Pinot Blanc, 40 per cent Pinot Gris and 20 per cent Chardonnay. The chalk-rich, slightly sandy loess soil over solid limestone is ideally suited to the Burgundy varieties and lends the wine both freshness and definition. Matured in stainless steel, the 2024 vintage combines notes of yellow apple and Williams pear with yellow plum, physalis, mandarin, white flowers and subtle herbal spice. The wine already appears particularly fresh on the nose, a quality that is then confirmed on the palate. There, it also comes across as juicy and supple, whilst remaining clear, lively and mineral. A "Gemischter Satz' with plenty of umami, body and depth, without losing any of its finesse and lightness.
