Niepoort Redoma Branco Douro DOC 2025

On the right bank of the Douro, at 400 to 600 meters, you find the old white grape vineyards of Redoma. They were planted between the 1940s and the 1960s as a field blend of Rabigato, Códega do Larinho, Viosinho, Donzelinho and Arinto. Mica schist and cool nights shape these sites, and Dirk Niepoort has made them a benchmark for dry white wine from the Douro. Whole bunches go into the press, the must ferments with wild yeast and the wine spends six months in French barrels of 228 and 500 liters. On the nose we find lemon zest and white flowers, with air comes pale stone fruit.
