Weingut Dönnhoff Doppelstück Weißburgunder & Grauburgunder Nahe 2025

Nahe, Germany, White wine, wine cuvée
0.75 l, Item no. 13458

The 2025 "Doppelstück? blends Pinot Blanc and Pinot Gris from renowned vineyards around Oberhausen. The vines, which are about 30 years old, grow on weathered volcanic rock and water-rich loess loam. Both varieties are harvested, pressed, and fermented together, then aged for about six months in a traditional 2,400-liter "Doppelstück? made of German oak. The nose reveals notes of pear, yellow apple, a hint of quince, and delicate herbs, along with nutty and slightly smoky notes. On the palate, the smoothness of the Pinot Gris blends with the freshness and clarity of the Pinot Blanc. Full-bodied, spicy, and harmonious, yet never heavy?a Burgundy with depth, balance, and a subtle mineral edge.

Dönnhoff Winery

The Dönnhoff wine estate in Oberhausen on the Nahe has been in existence for over 250 years. Today it is run by Cornelius Dönnhoff, the fourth generation of the family to do so. Kreuznacher Kahlenberg, Roxheimer Höllenpfad, Krötenötenpfuhl or Dellchen. Dönnhoff has ten large vineyards that are among the best in the region - and here, on volcanic and slate rock, he produces primarily Rieslings of international renown.
