Maison du Cèdre is one of the newest players in the Bordeaux wine trade. Founded in 2024, the company takes a deliberately curated approach: Rather than offering the widest possible range, the merchant focuses on a small selection of renowned estates and distinctive terroirs from France. Behind Maison du Cèdre is a team that combines traditional Bordeaux négociant expertise with a modern, international distribution strategy.
The company works closely with selected family-run estates and places great emphasis on authenticity, sustainable viticulture and limited production runs. In addition to marketing existing top-quality wines, Maison du Cèdre also develops its own cuvées and private-label projects for selected clients. There is a particular focus on Burgundy. Among other things, Maison du Cèdre distributes wines from the legendary Hospices de Nuits-Saint-Georges, which are matured and bottled in small quantities following the annual auction. The portfolio also includes renowned producers such as Domaine Henri Gouges, Domaine Thibault Liger-Belair and other top estates, whose wines – due to their limited availability – are often only available through specialist retailers. Although the company has only been in existence for a short time, Maison du Cèdre has deliberately positioned itself in the premium segment. The focus is not on large volumes, but on wines with a clear provenance, artisanal production and high ageing potential. This selective approach, combined with an international outlook and personalised service, makes Maison du Cèdre an interesting new name in the French fine wine trade.
