Fully ripe yellow stone fruit and exotic fruits combined with the finesse of the oldest pure Riesling vineyard in the world create a magnificent taste experience. Aged for 30 months on the fine lees in traditional wooden barrels made from the estate's own oak, the Goldlack perfectly balances baroque fullness of flavor, vibrant minerality and finely chiselled acidity. The famous Rheingau vineyard near Geisenheim was first mentioned in a document in 817, when Emperor Ludwig the Pious acquired vineyards from Fulda Abbey. For more than 300 years, the vineyard has been planted exclusively with Riesling. Johannisberg is considered the first closed Riesling vineyard in the world.
