Probably the most famous producer in southern Styria, the Manfred Tement winery is not only world-famous for its Sauvignon Blancs, but also for its outstanding Chardonnays (here called Morillon), which grow on special shell limestone soils and are therefore sometimes more "Burgundian? than their great role model in the Côtes de Beaune itself. The unique terroir provides enormous minerality and enormous depth and tension, leading to a complex, lemony-salty finish!
