Sparkling wine

For a long time, sparkling wines were barely recognised alongside the dominant champagne. But that has changed. Not least because the overall quality has improved enormously and new regions such as the south of England have been added. Sekt, Crémant, English Sparkling, Limoux, Trento DOC and Franciacorta are just some of the appellations and names for excellent sparkling wines.

Winegrower

Nyetimber

It has been praised as one of the finest sparkling wines and is on the menu of high-end restaurants. It has also become a symbol of modern British luxury and is served at parties of royal families and embassies around the world. We are not talking about champagne.

Gusbourne Vineyards

Anyone who believes that viticulture has only existed in England since the 1980s is mistaken. It came early with the Christian church and as early as 1410 a John de Goosebourne planted vines where the Gusbourne Vineyards are today.

Münzberg Winery

The Münzberg is located near the Palatinate town of Landau - in the midst of a gently rolling cultural landscape characterised by fruit trees and vineyards. Named after coins found in Roman times, the mountain is home to the vineyard of the same name. It is run by the Keßler family.

Winery Am Klotz

A few years ago, there was a winery on the Isteiner Klotz in Markgräflerland that lacked a successor. The families from Sektweingut Reinecker and the Kellers from Schwarzer Adler recognised the uniqueness of the vineyards and took it over in 2018.

Maison Aguila

Aguila belongs to the Sieur d'Arques co-operative, which produces around 80% of the wine in Limoux. They are the pioneers of the region and the undisputed masters of sparkling wine production in the Languedoc.
