Château Lafite Rothschild 1er GCC Pauillac 2019

Bordeaux, France, Red wine, wine cuvée
0.75 l

According to Robert Parker's The Wine Advocate, 2019 is the second 100-point vintage after 2018. Lafite Rothschild owes it to its great terroir on the highest elevation in Pauillac and the great skill of its winemaker Eric Kohler that this thoroughly lush vintage has once again turned into an infinitely fine, almost floating wine with its famous violet flavour. And all this with only 13% alcohol. It also received top ratings. It received 100 points from the Wine Advocate, James Suckling and Falstaff, among others!

Château Lafite-Rothschild

There are supposed to be people who have no interest whatsoever in wine. And even they "of course" know the name "Lafite-Rothschild" and know that it is one of the most famous wineries of all. Some may also have picked up that a bottle from the estate of Thomas Jefferson fetched a price of 160,000 dollars at an auction in 1985.
