Château Lafite Rothschild 1er GCC Pauillac 2003

Bordeaux, France, Red wine, wine cuvée
0.75 l, Item no. 11413

Almost everywhere in Europe, the 2003 heatwave caused many problems. Extreme heat created atypical conditions. In some cases, rough tannins and low acidity led to an imbalance and accelerated ripening. Not so in the north of the Médoc. There are many good wines there, but the very best is Lafite Rothschild! Always particularly good in hot vintages, the result is an intoxicating orgy of sensuality and intensity that only Lafite can produce. This is not to be missed. 100 Parker points is the only logical rating!

Château Lafite-Rothschild

There are supposed to be people who have no interest whatsoever in wine. And even they "of course" know the name "Lafite-Rothschild" and know that it is one of the most famous wineries of all. Some may also have picked up that a bottle from the estate of Thomas Jefferson fetched a price of 160,000 dollars at an auction in 1985.
