Château Lafite Rothschild 1er GCC Pauillac 2010

Bordeaux, France, Red wine, wine cuvée
0.75 l, Item no. 12570

The 2010 vintage is a Lafite of ethereal perfection. Cassis, violets, pencil, cedar and iron characterise the bouquet. The palate combines power and transparency: monumentally structured, silky-fine tannins, brilliant acidity. Multiple 100 points (Parker, Suckling). A vintage of intellectual greatness, purist, focused and unwavering in its balance. Ideal drinking window from 2030 to 2080+. Ideally, allow plenty of air beforehand. Infinitely long. A monument to the classic Pauillac style.

Château Lafite-Rothschild

There are supposed to be people who have no interest whatsoever in wine. And even they "of course" know the name "Lafite-Rothschild" and know that it is one of the most famous wineries of all. Some may also have picked up that a bottle from the estate of Thomas Jefferson fetched a price of 160,000 dollars at an auction in 1985.
