Fèlsina Berardenga Fontalloro IGT Toscana 2021
2021 is a fantastic vintage for Fèlsina's iconic "Fontalloro'. This is Sangiovese that combines the power of Chianti Classico with the elegance of the more southerly Colli Senesi. The 2021 vintage is exceptionally precise and full of energy. On the nose, sour cherries, ripe elderberries, blueberries and plums, as well as blood orange peel, meet tobacco, leather, herbs and subtle earthy notes. On the palate, the wine is deep and concentrated, yet at the same time taut and vibrant, supported by fine-grained tannins and lively acidity. Despite its density, the "Fontalloro' remains consistently transparent and clear – an aristocratic, mineral Sangiovese with enormous ageing potential and a remarkable balance between power and finesse.
