Domaine Saint Cosme JUBILUM Grenache No. 1 2021

Louis and Cherry Barruol run the famous Saint Cosme vineyard in Gigondas. It is without doubt one of the best vineyards in the Rhône and has been in the family since the 15th century. For the anniversary, the Barruols have opted for a single-varietal Grneache. And these are rarely found among the Côtes du Rhône wines. But what a beautiful example this is, with its deep and ripe fruit of wild strawberries, raspberries and blackberries mingling with garrigue, liquorice and warm forest floor. From the very first sip, you can feel the combination of cool stone and warm fruit, sun-dried herbs from Provence and liquorice in this juicy, spicy and entertaining all-rounder.
