Chateauneuf du Pape Blanc Edition Alexis de Châteauneuf 2024
A tribute to the great Hamburg architect Alexis de Chateauneuf. After the great fire in Hamburg (1842), he designed the Alster Arcades on Rathausmarkt. Since 2003, the Hanse Lounge has been located above it. The wine for this was made by top winemaker Louis Barruol from the Rhône Valley. Aged in stainless steel tanks, it is an elegant blend of Roussanne, Clairette, and Bourboulenc with the typical Châteauneuf-du-Pape characteristics?but without the heaviness. Instead, it is fresh, exciting, and has a salty note on the finish.
