Obstkelterei van Nahmen Constantinople apple-quince nectar

The quince used to be a fruit variety that was typical of local orchards. There were around 100 different varieties in Germany alone. However, this aromatic fruit was gradually pushed back in favour of varieties that were easier to process. For some years now, however, quinces have been finding their way back into the catering trade and, thanks to van Nahmen, also into the local area. The Lower Rhine fruit press house has found old stocks in orchards in the Lower Rhine and Münsterland regions and sources Constantinople apple quinces and Portuguese pear quinces from there, which produce an intense, tart, full and vinous flavour.
