A Nebbiolo from the hills of Roero and Langhe, grown on calcareous marl soils at 200–300 meters. Fermentation took place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperature for an average of 10–12 days. The wine then aged at least four months in oak and subsequently one to two months in bottle. The "Langhe Nebbiolo? shows aromas of roses and geraniums, cherries and plums, with earth and underbrush. Warm, soft, full-bodied, velvety, and balanced, with a long-lasting finish.

Fontanafredda Winery

Deep in the Langhe, where the Nebbiolo for the best Barolo grows, lies the Fontanafredda wine estate. The land was purchased in 1858 by none other than King Vittorio Emanuele II for the wife of his heart, Rosa Vercelana.
