This Barolo "Lazzarito? comes from the monopole vineyard La Delizia in the heart of Serralunga d'Alba, situated at 380 meters on calcareous marl with clay. The destemmed grapes were fermented in stainless steel and matured for 30 months in wood. The nose reveals fresh, minty notes, iris and violet, thyme and sage, along with cranberries and cherries with cherry pits. On the palate, the Barolo shows fine verticality, structure, and lively acidity – purposeful, juicy, and spicy.

Deep in the Langhe, where the Nebbiolo for the best Barolo grows, lies the Fontanafredda wine estate. The land was purchased in 1858 by none other than King Vittorio Emanuele II for the wife of his heart, Rosa Vercelana.
